" SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE", the band's new album, is OUT NOW everywhere (sorry UK fans,
you'll have to wait another week.....but to make up for that you'll get a Deluxe Edition as well.....)!
Containing 11 brand new tracks, this album is the band's first new disc of new material in six years, and it is
surrounded by many, many special promotions:
- The US version includes a limited edition PIKcard(r), which unlocks the Def Leppard online "Vault"
where you can find a truckload of hand-written lyrics, a recorded message from Joe, a video with commentary on the
album tracks, and a contest.
- TV performances on The Ellen Show, Dancing With The Stars (both today) and Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! (tomorrow)
- A "Sparkle Lounge" promotion microsite (for our UK fans) at www.TheSparkleLounge.com
- Ringtones for your cellphone at the band's brand new MySpace page
- The "NINE LIVES" video on UMe's YouTube channel
- A
"Sparkle Lounge" promotional TV spot (members of the Def Leppard Fan
Club can check out the "Sparkle Lounge" TV spot can view this spot on
the Fan Club site)
In some markets, " SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE"
will contain a bonus track (or two). The regular UK version (cat.
1762675) contains a 'piano version' of "LOVE", whereas the UK Deluxe
Edition (cat. 1765649) has a whole bonus DVD with two "behind the
scenes" documentairies and the "NINE LIVES" video. The Japanese version
of the album (cat. UICR 1074, out on May 5) has two extra songs: the
piano version of "LOVE" and the Tim McGraw-less version of "NINE
LIVES". For the completists amongst our readers: the North American
release has catalogue number is B001100402, the European release iss
1766038, and the rest of the world has 1766037.
